| History: | Natural, round basin at the mouth of a small canyon, water course about 200 yards from the former bank of the Colorado River. It may be only partially inudated as the upper rim of the amphitheater was originally about 400 feet above this river. The name may have been applied to the whole bend of the Colorado River,in whose apex the bowl rests. (UT-T34/#61). |
